If you thrive in a fast-paced challenging healthcare environment, this is the perfect opportunity for YOU!!! The Compliance/Performance Improvement Officer oversees all activities related to compliance with federal or state laws and regulations governing the privacy of health information.
This includes the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the privacy of and access to patient health information; and compliance with federal and state information privacy laws.
Responsible for aggregating, trending and analyzing performance improvement measures.
Coordinate QMC activities including completion of monthly agenda, minutes and follow of quality management tasks.
Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly PI/RM reports.
Assist with MOST Safety Program assessment/follow up.
Assist with ongoing survey readiness.
Participate in QMC, Safety/Risk Management-Infection Control committees and other PI Committees.
The PI Specialist will assist as a back-up with daily Risk Management activities.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
A Masters Degree in a related mental health field is required.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) is a highly advantageous bonus.
Primary Source Verification shall be required through International Association of Privacy Professionals.
